Nerano

When to go
May – June · September – October
Travel styles
Beach & Barefoot · Romance · Culture & Heritage

A former fishing village at the coast's quietest bend — lemon terraces falling toward water the color of bottle glass, and lunch of spaghetti alle vongole with your feet nearly in the tide.

Positano gets the postcards; Nerano gets the people who know. Its two coves — Marina del Cantone and Recommone — hold some of the most storied kitchens on the coast, while footpaths above wind through lemon groves to villas that never make a listing.
